Match report Blue Birds Ladies vs H Zebra Forces
The match started off slowly but the tempo gradually increased as the game progressed as both teams tested each other and blue birds where first to hit the back of the net with a goal from Natasha ,a clinical header from a corner kick, from there Blue Birds took the foot on the pedal till the end of first half. We were allowing the opponents to get into the game.
The second half started with Blue Birds still in the lead but 15 minutes into the half blue birds ladies conceded from a corner that was misjudged by the on rushing blue birds goalkeeper and soon after that the blue birds coach started ringing in the changes as ester came off for blue birds latest signing Ndlela and Zimi coming off for Tshwarelo and soon after coming on the substitutes stamped their authority on the field ,after a quick inter changing of passes blue birds right attacking midfielder Vangile Mnguni out in a superb cross that the Zebra Force keeper couldn’t handle and it fell to Natasha who tapped the ball into that back of the net and give Blue Birds the lead once more ,5 minutes later Tshwarelo was passed on the wing and she took on two defenders and beat them for pace and the slotted the ball in the near post for her first goal of the match and blue birds 3rd goal of the match but there was one more moment of brilliance as blue birds left back dispossessed an opponent in their half and took on a few opponents then drew the keeper out took a shot and it deflected back into play but at the feet of Tshwarelo who saw the keeper of her line n delicately chipped the ball over the keeper for her second goal of the match and blue birds 4th the opponents tried coming back into the game but it was too late ,blue birds even introduced Aldean Smith a player from the reserve team to make her Debut in the Sasol league. The team collected maximum 3 ponts to leap frog Zebra Foces to position 5 on the log.
