CORONA VIRUS

This communique serves to inform the stance of ANLFA regarding the DECLARATION by our National President of South Africa, SAFA NATIONAL and REGIONAL OFFICE.

This advisory has been drafted after consultation with partners and government authorities following the presidential request for support and social distancing and could change in the near future.

 In order to combat the spread of the Corona Virus and the current national disaster we request that all members in the football fraternity begin the immediate practice of social distancing.

 Initial Action:

• All soccer activities have been postponed or cancelled with immediate effect for the next until further notice.

.  • This includes referees, coaches, meetings, workshop, and junior and senior sports activities.

  • This includes amateur and professional sport gatherings.

• This includes formal and informal sport gatherings

 • This includes private and institutional sport gatherings.

 • This includes practice and competition

Further advice:

• Clubs may discuss, players home based programmes with your coach where possible
• Extra vigilance with precautionary measures such as hand washing and sanitising, cough etiquette, avoiding handshakes/hugs/physical contact.

Recommendations may change as further updates or instructions are released by the Government and Sports, Health Authorities and SAFA. You will be kept informed.
