BLUE BIRDS LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB is based in Alexandra & is playing under SAFA SASOL PROVINCIAL WOMAN'S LEAGUE. The club was previously known as UNITED LADIES F.C, while campaigning at the Regional league . We are an organization that provides local children with an opportunity to play soccer and to also build their self esteem. We teach them hard work as it is our primary priority which keeps them away from the streets but rather something to focus their attention to. We always emphasize the importance of education, teamwork, respect and dedication.

OUR VISION:
To develop and nature young girls and woman through soccer to play football within the South African Football structures, international and shape them to a successful career pathway leading to economic access and social equality while improving their healthy well being and academic capacity.
OUR MISSION:
To identify and nature potential and talented girls among school going and school leavers to be competent soccer players.
To support our players with academic help as well as life skills.
To create a positive community change agent, fight against substance abuse and equip them towards a sustainable career pathway.
Our coaching staff is made up of individuals who are very fond of football playing and who also work as a collective. We have always made amends of raising funds through donation forms that we distribute among players which in a way we’ re teaching them a sense of responsibility from an early age.
The Academy was formed in 2008 under the name BANYANA DIRANG- then United Ladies -(NOW – BLUE BIRDS LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB)
We have a total of 5 divisional teams which are:
U/10, U/13 , 15 & U/17 and Senior team.
Our junior divisions are affiliated to the Alexandra Local Football Association with an average of 30 players and are playing in a boys league.
Our seniors are playing under SAFA- THE SASOL PROVINCIAL WOMAN'S SOCCER LEAGUE.
