What does Level 4 lockdown mean for the Birds?

THE LOCK DOWN STILL REMAINS REGARDLESS…

The streets of Alexandra are going back to their normal “kasi” vibe we are used to since the President’s announcement on the upliftment of some strict rules of the lock down.

The country is currently facing level 4 of the lock down levels. This means there are certain inclusions that are made in slowly opening the economy of the country, without risking more positive cases of the virus. This is to enable the country to slowly maintain its economic state that has been downgraded to junk state.

Our fight with corona virus, pandemic is that it is far from being over and to add on that our country is only in its first stages of this virus with only a few tests been conducted. So, we are not fully aware of how many people are positive with the virus. hence, we find it as a concern that the people of Alexandra are back to their normal habits of roaming the streets from morning till noon even though the country is still in the red zone with regards to the Corona Virus levels.

We still urge the people of Alexandra that this is far from over. We are still required to follow the health precautions we are provided with to maintain our health and prevent ourselves from this virus, because currently at the state we are in, prevention is our best remedy.

Regardless of the present situation there are positive outcomes, from the upliftment of strict rules of the lock down, as the team, the Blue Birds Ladies can take their physical training to the streets within the allocated exercising hours.

We are not quite sure when we can get back to playing the game of soccer. We await the full report that SAFA must submit to the world of football governing body, FIFA, on the impact of Covid-19 on football in our country and when the association believes it will be safe to resume football again. This is according to the SAFA website.

We must remember that this lock down is done for our own health and for the benefit of the future of this country.
