LOCKDOWN EXTENDEd, MORE DAYS WITHOUT SOCCER

LOCKDOWN EXTENDED…

On the 9th of April 2020, the president of South Africa took to national television and media to announce that the lockdown is enduring, until the end of April.

We really cannot say that this was not expected as the cases of the coronavirus are increasing daily, the government institution will put into place further intervention systems to see to that the current situation is being dealt with appropriately.

Had the citizens adhered to the lockdown regulations, the is a belief that the number of cases reported could have declined. Hopefully, the citizens of the country will begin to take this matter seriously, because if not the number of COVID-19 positive cases will keep on increasing.

South Africans can learn a lot from the citizens of China, as they managed to handle the COVID-19 virus situation by taking caution steps and adhering to the set rules of lockdown.

We cannot express this enough to the people of this country that WE NEED TO STAY INDOORS during these trying times. As this is the only thing that we are required to do until further intervention is put to place.

The President has mentioned in his speech,” WE DARE NOT FAIL, WE DARE NOT BE DEFEATED. “We can win this war”. This country has been through a lot and has overcome a lot of trying times for it to be defeated by this current pandemic situation.

We can acknowledge that it is difficult for a few individuals to remain indoors due to their home circumstances however we as the people of Alexandra being one of those people, we are trying very hard to remain indoors despite our “circumstances”.

This could be a very controllable situation if we remain indoors like we are urged to do if we keep healthy, a safe distance from other people, wash our hands daily with soup or use sanitizer should you have one, to try to prevent this virus from affecting more people.

Let us adhere to the rules of the lockdown so that we can all get our lives back.
