Blue Birds players took their time off the league to represent Alex Local Football Association.

The past weekend saw 12 players from Blue Birds going out to represent Alexandra for under15 O.R Tambo selection. They played three games. First game against Deep South and they won 9-0 second game against Roodeport and won 8 and the last game was against Rand Central Ladies and they won 3-1. Top performers was Lindokuhle Madlopha who played a significant role in making sure the all the goalscorer get quality passes and she was amongst the goal Scorers during the first two games.
Moyahabo Khumalo was one of the top performers as well as she was the leading goal Scorers with 7 goals in 3 games.

The young lads continue to fly the flag of this Township. We are waiting for the SAFA Johannesburg region to give us the name of the players that were selected to represent the Regional squad. Given the performances of the team, there is hope for more players to be selected.
