BBL COPES UNDER THE LOCKDOWN

BBL COPES UNDER THE LOCKDOWN

Under the harsh circumstances the country is facing at the moment, we are happy to let the readers know that the BB Ladies are doing well. The BB Ladies are showing strength, resilience and tenacity considering the circumstances.

“I am doing fine but only struggle to keep up with the schedule and the daily routines I have set for myself, although I do not follow through with the schedule, I do train at the end of the day. I try to keep away from junk foods and manage my diet well.” Khabonina Boshimane commented.

It would be great to say that the girls have not complained about the lockdown but that would not be entirely true. It has become straining on the especially regarding their physical training but with all things considered, we are happy that they are seeing the serious issue we are faced with worldwide, young as they are. A lot of people could learn a lot from the young individuals.

The girls are not letting the lockdown disturb with their training at home as the guidelines provided by the coach are being used effectively.

One of the girls has even mentioned again how the food parcels from Rays of Hope have made a huge impact on her family especially with the extension of the lockdown. Like we have mentioned previously before, this gesture from Rays of Hope will not be forgotten any time soon.

It is without a doubt that this lockdown is taking a toll on everybody and it will continue to do so as long the problem we are faced with escalates.

One of the coaches, Buti Phiri commented,” The girls must just follow the governments’ guidelines and try to train at home. I think about them every day and I miss coaching them. Stay strong, this shall too pass. God will pull us through.”

We urge all South Africans, especially the people of Alexandra to avoid social contact with people as much as they can.

A conditioning expert has designed a program for our players that they can use to the physical training at home.
