COVD-19 STRAINING BBL AND THE FOOTBALL WORLD

Due to this current situation we are all facing globally, our girls are finding it difficult to cope with this pandemic situation but as resilient young women they are, the Blue Birds are looking at the bright side of this situation and turning it into a positive outcome.

On behalf of her team players, Rejoice Ramadiba said,"it's really sad for us athletes or a soccer player like myself to hear that we have to stay home and not go out. I understand that it's for the safety of our health but it is also affecting us mentally and physically as athletes."

Even though this lockdown situation is restricting the players from training, we trust that after all this is over, hopefuly, the girls will get back to training and to see their lives get back to normal.

This situation does not only affect our players, our coaches are also finding it very difficult to deal with this pandemic but in all the midst of this, they are being very encouraging to our  players in terms of taking care of themselves and those around them, with home based individual training and healthy eating.

Coach Malvin had this to say,"This is one of the most difficult period, not only for the team, but globally. I would like to encourage the players to stay safe, follow the guidance and the most importantly eat healthy to build the immune system. We want to see each other healthy and safe. We all share  a collective responsibility to fight this by doing the right thing."
